Queanbeyan dirt jump & pump track
Southbar  Road
Karabar

I wish to thank all the volunteers that helped out on Saturdays working bee.
Blake, Kane, James, Brad, and Daniel and Joe  from Weston , and all the other half a dozen guys who were coming and going working with Kane and James. If I have forgotten your names I  apologise.
This working bee was much needed maintenance rather than creating and building but we now have the dirt to build a new jump next time. If you have any  ideas or opinion of how we should proceed with the next working bee, what we can do better and what you wish to build, please let me know.
Actions for the next working bee: reshape all jump faces and trannys, build new jump and berm'

The Scar     Queanbeyan dirt jump & pump track

South bar Road
Karabar

The council delivered 7 truckloads of soil today and will position it using a backhoe during the week.
The plan will be to:
1.       Re-establish the run in ramps and remove the rocks on all the landing transitions.
2.      Build a new berm and step up on the exit of the medium line.
3.      Reshape the take off transitions.

Hopefully we should get all this done in the first few hours depending on how many volunteers we get then ride what we have built.

Queanbeyan Dirt Jump and Pump Track

Had a talk and meet with the Queanbeyan council today at the Scar to finalise the working bee. There will be dirt delivered over the next two weeks so please be aware. I have only managed to get 6 truck loads for the first working bee which will keep us busy. We also discussed the possibility of getting some shade like they have in the off lead dog area (a picnic table with cover). this was received well and hopefully will be implemented in the near future.
I have been slowly reshaping the main pump track and start next on the main jump line

Welcome to the Queanbeyan Dirt Jump and Pump Track Blog

Saturday 24 February:

Dont forget,    Working bee 9 March 9- 12,    We need your help

Raining this morning so perfect time to do some maintenance. Started to clean out the berms and reshape them on the main pump track and clean out all the rocks.
The soil is still terrible but the berms came up pretty good and the traction was outstanding.

Need more soil on the end of the berm as it dips away on the exit and the line seems to push you shallow on entry so you wash up on exit

Hip jump into the last berm, reshaped and remove all the rubbish

Line off the berm into nice double into another double berm entry

Before all the stones and rubbish removed

Time running out reshaping the berm but, still is a little fat in the center.
